Cancellation of membership

Your membership may be cancelled if you have not recorded any service in Queensland, or advised QLeave of service with an interstate scheme, for four consecutive years.

You will be notified in writing that we intend to cancel your membership. You will have 120 days to object this cancellation by submitting a
Request for Missing Service form, and/or providing your interstate membership details to QLeave.

Please note: once your membership is cancelled you won't be able to claim your long service leave entitlement. If you return to the contract cleaning industry, at a later date, your service days will start from zero.

Other reasons QLeave may cancel your membership are:

    • we are not satisfied that you have been, or are, performing eligible cleaning work
    • your membership was refused because the application information provided was false or misleading.
