Workers who haven't had service recorded for four or more years may receive a notice of cancellation in the coming weeks.

In March we contacted building and construction, and contract cleaning, workers who hadn't recorded eligible service in Queensland for four or more years to advise that their registration was at risk of cancellation.

We're now contacting workers who didn't respond to the previous letter to advise that their registration has now been cancelled. If you receive one of these letters and you are not satisfied with our decision to cancel your registration, you have the following options available to you.

Building and construction workers

  1. apply to QLeave to reconsider our decision to cancel your registration. You must submit your application within 45 days using the reconsideration/internal review form on our website.
  2. file an appeal directly with an Industrial Magistrate using a notice of appeal form.

Contract cleaning workers

  2. file an appeal directly with an Industrial Magistrate using a notice of appeal form.
