We're sending long service leave statements to registered workers throughout September, October and November.

If you're a worker, you'll receive your 2022-23 long service leave statement from us soon. Your statement will show your service days as reported by your employer from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023 and how many service credits you've earned towards your long service entitlement since joining QLeave.

Your long service leave statement

You'll receive your long service leave statement in the post if you're a building and construction worker who hasn't given us consent to send your statement via email. Login to QLeave online services to have your statement emailed to you next year.

If you're a contract cleaning or community services worker, your long service leave statement is available online and has already been emailed to you if we have a valid email address recorded for you. If we don't have your current email, you'll receive your statement in the post soon.

Missing service

It’s important you check your annual long service leave statement carefully to make sure all the work you’ve performed has been recorded correctly.

It’s your employer’s responsibility to report your service to QLeave at the end of each financial year. If they haven't done this, please speak to them and ask that they update your service online. How to claim

If you're ready to make a long service leave claim, you can do this online at any time. To have your claim paid before the end of the year, you must submit it by Friday 8 December 2023. Claims submitted after this date may not be paid until January 2024.

Please note, you must submit all required supporting documentation with your claim. If anything is missing, we won’t process your claim, and you’ll have submit a new one.

Community services workers are not yet able to claim their long service leave from QLeave. You will be able to claim once you've accrued 2,555 service credits (equivalent to 7 years) with QLeave. Work performed before the scheme started on 1 January 2021 does not count towards your portable long service leave entitlement.
