What is included in the cost of work?
The cost of work is the total of all costs incurred by the owner (excluding GST) that relate directly and indirectly to building and construction work.
Direct costs include (but are not limited to): asbestos removal, costs of labour, materials (including prefabricated goods and goods sourced from overseas), any fixtures, plant and equipment installed in the building, commissioning and installation, margin, civil/earth works, and demolition and site clearing.
Indirect costs include (but are not limited to): site cleaning, town planning, design, project management, consultancy fees, materials supplied by the owner, engineers and quantity surveyors, and technical services.
