What happens after you register?

We'll assess your application and provide an outcome within five business days.

We'll use the information you provided on your application to assess whether you're required to register with QLeave. This assessment will include checking the details you've provided against relevant registers, and we may contact you for more information. If we ask you to provide more details and don't receive them within the given timeframe, we'll decline your application, and you will need to submit a new one to register with the scheme.

You will receive an email from us once we've approved your registration. This email will include your QLeave employer number, information about how to keep meeting your obligations, and links to user guides so you can get started using our online portal.

We'll also give you information about how to submit returns and levy payments for previous quarters that you were a liable employer. You will only need to do this if you started engaging eligible workers before the quarter that you register in. For example, if you started engaging eligible workers in April but didn’t register with us until August, you would need to submit a return and levy payment for the 1 April to 30 June quarter once your registration is approved. Find out more about return and levy payment due dates.

If your application is declined, we'll email you explaining why and provide information about what to do if your business structure or the type of cleaning work you provide changes.

Please note, the information collected on your application will only be used for the purpose of administering the Act and as permitted by law. You can find more information about how we protect your privacy here.
